The Baptist Children's Home in Owasso 11th Street Numa church has adopted the Oklahoma Cottage at the Baptist Children's Home in Owasso. Kendall-Whitter Clothing Closet 11th Street Numa Church staffs a "clothing closet" located in the building of Kendall-Whitter Elementry School, located one block east of Lewis on 5th Place. This is a huge school with over 1,000 students! Most of the families with children at Kendall-Whitter are poor and this ministry is a God-send for them. Our assignment is to keep the closet organized and distribute the clothing to the children during school hours. The major contributor to the clothing closet is Walmart, who donates new clothing every two weeks! We are looking for people who feel called to do this ministry. Volunteers are needed on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM. John 3:16 Mission 11the Street Numa Church serves the evening meal at the John 3:16 Mission in downtown Tulsa on the 3rd Wednesday of every month. The John 3:16 Mission serves the purpose of feeding and temporarily housing many of Tulsa's homeless people. We meet at the Mission around 5:30 P.M. to set up the meal and start serving at 6:30. After clean-up, we typically leave around 7:30 P.M.. If you would like to join this ministry team, go to the "contact" link and let us know. (This is an age-sensitive ministry.
